Boring Walk-on
This.
Part of Riley Burt's problem was he was physically gifted but he never learned patience. He also didn't have Jamal's instincts but tried to run like him. Hadley was the opposite of Jamal. Jamal was a one cut wonder and quick to the hole. He saw holes I never could and had such balance. Hadley let the game come to him. I remember one play vividly where he was following a guard on a pullout against utah. Instead of out-racing him to the sideline, he waited, the guard blocked the linebacker to seal the edge (7-8 yards down field) and he broke off a 20+ RUN. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL but not flashy. He "looked" slow following his blocker but so effective. He was a very good running back and probably would have started had he been a running back throughout his career.
