Always and forever a Green Bay Packers fan it was a bucket list item. Very enjoyable visit, tour and Hall of Fame. Highly recommend it to everyone. If you don’t understand the franchise it’s in a community of only 104,000 people. The stadium seats 81,441. If they put folding chairs on field they could seat the whole town. Now that I have set the scene
I wore a BYU shirt and when I got into a conversation with one of the locals I would just mention Jaamal and they would lighten up and say “We love him, he is so funny” or “He is so cool, he’s always dancing and joking.” The all are hoping he sticks around a long time.
The conversation led to me saying “As a life long Packer fan I have enjoyed most of the team decisions but a couple years ago they made a big mistake.” It surprised me when they responded. “Oh yeah that was the dumbest thing ever, how did they ever let him get away.” Every time. I would ask “who are you talking about or who do you think I am talking about?” The response each time was the same. “Taysom Hill of course, they were so stupid to place him on waivers. We all thought that was so stupid!” One said, “What he did in the preseason had me drooling to see him as the back up. He was way better than the other guy!” I found unanimous agreement that putting him on waivers was the wrong decision. Another said, “Man when I saw him in New Orleans that year on special teams making tackles I thought he’s a quarterback and he’s playing special team and he’s making tackles. He can play anywhere and be great at any position”. He was and still is a fan favorite.
