Calm down ye offended folk. This was not written with hate for the poor.
It was not written to make us feel like we are better than others. All I was trying to say is that given what BYU represents and the football options in the state Utah is much more likely to attract those who are disenfranchised from society. That disenfranchised group is much more likely to provide situations where the crass, inappropriate and offensive occur.

To be clear being financially poor is not the same thing as being morally poor and I am talking about the latter. And to be clearer I think of the morally poor as those who are completely controlled by darker vices. Sure we all have vices but being non functional with out a drink or hard drugs is a completely different level of living. I'm not saying such individuals are categorically terrible people. I'm saying they are not in control of their own lives. If you cant see how it is more likely for someone in that situation to do something inappropriate at a sports event than you simply do not understand our societal problems. The disenfranchised fill the courts and prisons primarily because they don't know how to control their own actions.

Surely any fan base including BYU draws in some of those individuals but in the culture of Utah where there are no real football options but BYU (a highly religious school), Utah State (a far rural school who has little consistent competitive history) and Utah (a competitive school in the heart of Utah's largest city) the U is going fill the sporting needs of a majority of the disenfranchised.
