that sounds like you are, in a round about way, describing addiction as sin.
if i've promised to be good, to keep the commandments, but i enjoy {insert bad behavior, say drinking coffee} on occasion, then my doing that bad behavior must be an addiction - i'm addicted to coffee even though i only drink it when i go camping. but it's an addiction because i'm breaking promises to myself and others.
