Most Utah football fans know we are not on the same tier as OSU, Bama, Clemson, etc. Obviously our recruiting is nowhere near those guys. BUT I think it is realistic to expect top 25 seasons 3-4 out of every 5 years, similar to the previous 5 years. And this yr it is really reasonable to hope for a Rose Bowl/Pac championship. This is the best Utah team since joining the Pac. National writers and CF experts aren’t blowing smoke trying to win Utah hearts. On paper the team is good. Rose bowl good. BUT that is still a tall order and would be an ‘upset’ still based on the odds if it happens. Injuries, bad bounces of the ball, sluggish starts, other teams outplaying us,bad timing for offensive sluggishness, etc etc can happen at anytime. But this is definitely a top 25 team on paper. We’ll see how the season actually plays out.
