"Beginning June 1, 2019, BSA volunteers and professionals may start recruiting Church youth and families to join community-based packs and troops. These recruiting efforts should be made by BSA directly to families and should not occur in the meetinghouse or through bishops or other Church leaders. Bishops and others should not provide BSA with member information. BSA already has some member contact information for those who have previously registered with them."
