3pt%
- Rubio 31.1% vs. Conley 36.4%
- Crowder 33.1% / Favors 21.8% vs. Bogdanovich 42.5%
I legit think that the Jazz's entire offseason was based on the PTSD of seeing Favors, Crowder, Rubio clanking open 3s. The Jazz front office wakes up in cold sweats at 2AM thinking of that. View it all through that prism and everything makes sense.
Mitchell can get in the lane at-will. Either Mitchell or Ingles can get in the lane when Rudy picks for them. But last year when the defense would rotate, Joe and Donovan would kick to the corners to Rubio, Crowder and Favors there was a lot clanking (or even airballs). That simply won't happen this year. Bogdanovic is one of the top 10 shooters in the league by % and Conley is in the top 40% of PGs on threes, whereas Rubio was literally last depending on the shooting stat you want to use.
Point is: this stat is probably the most important stat in basketball in 2019 and the Jazz just upgraded it to a crazy degree.
