It was more his hands than his arms. His wingspan was completely normal for his
height - at least according to the measurements at the combine: 6'8.5" tall with a 6'10" wingspan. Not freakishly long arms like some guys in the NBA, but not short, either.
His hands, on the other hand (pun!), were among the smallest at the entire combine, even smaller than most of the point guards.
After the disappointment of Kwame Brown, lots of NBA execs have been less-than-excited about big guys with relatively small hands.
