My parents are getting ready to move after over 50 years in the same house.
I spent a few hours on Saturday moving stuff out of there house. Among the interesting things I stumbled upon while cleaning were old college assignments and exams or whatever. The 80s and 90s were definitely a different time. Each of my assignments was labeled with my name and social security number right on the front.

I'm sure it's no big deal, but my mom told me that she had already thrown out a lot of my old school work that she found in a box. That means my name and SSN are scattered throughout a dump somewhere.

Anyway, I wonder what would happen today if a university demanded students to label all of their work with their SSN.
Back when I was in college, that's how it was done.
