My view on what Finau needs to do to win tournaments
In recent months Tony Finau has consistently been among the leaders of every tournament he's played in. But he just hasn't been able to get over the hump and start winning a few tournaments.

In looking at a number of his rounds I've noticed that he gets as many or more birdies than just about every professional golfer. The problem is he gets too many bogeys. If he could just eliminate a few of those bogeys I really think he'd start winning.

Looking at the players that win, they typically get very few bogeys. If Finau could continue to get birdies at his current rate and eliminate just a few of the bogeys he'd be in good shape. I'm sure he knows this much more than I do. He's so close to getting over the top. Just a little improvement in turning a few bogeys into pars will make all the difference.

I know some may respond to this post by calling me Captain Obvious. This may be obvious, but I'm pulling for Finau to make some small improvements and start winning some tournaments.
