Researching honeymoon locations, need some advice

Anybody ever been to Thailand? And if so.. Is it safe? What were average costs (foods, excursions, etc)? Did you enjoy it? Could you list A: your favorite thing you did, B: something you did that could've been skipped? C: something you missed that you really wish you'd done?

Just generally looking for any relevant information, haven't committed to anything yet, but really appreciate some input from any been-there-done-thats. TIA
