What an ignorant thing to say! You aren't ANY more of a fan than he is.
When tickets are as expensive as they are, some people might not leap at the opportunity to buy 5-6 tickets, endure the maddening traffic, park a mile away from the stadium, sit on hard and uncomfortable seats, stand in line for 20 minutes to go to the bathroom, and pay $5 for a Coke... only to watch the team lose. That sucks! (Not to mention then walking back to the car, and not getting to bed until 2:30 am.)
People have different priorities and responsibilities and circumstances in their lives. That doesn't make them any less devout or loyal in their fandom than you.
