His wife and family are as well, and his son is currently going to the U.
However, his son now wants to transfer to BYU because he hates the U and how liberal it is and how he feels it actually is antagonistic to faith. This is a kid who served in the roughest parts of Mexico where he would actually see dead bodies in the street. So he is not a lightweight spiritually in my estimation.
Great kid, my wife wants to introduce him to our nieces and nephews based on his missionary homecoming talk. His parents are great people (both Utes).
So I just want to ask what your current contact is with the University and where you think it is succeeding in being open to and welcoming to faithful LDS kids?
