That's pretty amazing... if they had built a 53K capacity seating stadium...
It makes you wonder if they would have upgraded the stadium again soon after that, cause the 65K stadium, I swear sold out for almost 10 years straight.
Also... has there ever been an estimate of what the capacity would be today, if they replaced all the benches with chair backs? I think doing the 4 or 5 sections with chair back seats on the East side, didn't that decrease attendance by 1500?
