I'm a little reluctant to post this but I thought some of you may be interested in it or maybe not. I don't know.
I've posted on here before that my son is on the autism spectrum and is very talented musically.
Recently my mother-in-law suddenly passed away and my wife's family asked my son to play the piano at her funeral. Her favorite song was Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.
When my son listened to the song he thought that it might not necessarily be appropriate for a catholic mass funeral. So he decided to create his own arrangement of it because as he put it "He wanted to make something a little more reverent for the funeral." Plus it was a dedication to his grandmother.
He only had a week to put this together and it's something my wife's family will never forget. He didn't use any sheet music and just played this as he heard it in his head. This the first piece he's ever arranged that he has played publicly.
After the funeral he recorded it and added pictures of his grandmother and made this video he dedicated to his grandmother.
