If I can suspend disbelief that the same character has been around for almost 60 years and is roughly the same age
and has been portrayed by more than 5 different actors, then it’s ok with me that I watch a movie about a female 007 who goes by a different name…

Not necessarily since 007 is a title held by the agent. Doesn’t mean it has to be male.
