I'm sure it's a bit more organized than my HS football program. For weigh-ins, the coach would look at someone and say pick up your backpack then step back on. Hey put your pads and helmet on. There we go, bumped up 10 lbs. How tall are you? Put your cleats on first.
Ok that was exaggerated on height. I think they were actually legit with height. But we were all posted at least 10 lbs over and sometimes more. When you have skinny HS kids, 165 looks way better than 150. 190 looks better than 175.
It's not always that exaggerated though. CB was full of people with the same old stupid "I stood next to so and so, and they're not..." Some people were adamant about it with Cody Hoffman, and then he came in at the combine exactly what BYU said he was. Some wacko was guaranteeing everyone that Hoffman was barely over 6'1, not 6'4. We get it with everyone. Apparently Nick Emery is only about 5'10, and Yoeli is only 6'4.
