Any non-religious or non Ivy-league university will pick up the general public as there fan base and in most places that will inlcude plenty of low class/trashy fans that tend to embarass the rest. I know BYU has a few of those fans, but if you hit a certain thresh hold of classlessness or bitterness towards a foe that you begin to embarass BYU with your comments or actions, I will stand up and tell you to go find another program because that is not who we are and we should be better than that. My problem with the U is that so frequently there hatred of us will lead them to take any low blow to get under our skin and that leads to shots at the church, the presidency of the church, disgustuing references toward missionaries or coeds and even sacred things like the sacrament etc. I get it that those are the riffraff that I hope you don't condone, but I don't know when I've ever seen a u of u loving memeber of the church stand up and put his love of the church before his love of a college and tell his fan base to knock it off and defend what should be just as sacred to him. When I see love of a state university trump religion, it makes me sick inside.
