Byu has the most homogenous fan base in America. BYU is tied to a religion... By default anyone else outside that religon is going to likely cheer for anyother team. It seems to me Mormons look to find the absolute worst in those that have distanced themselves from BYU or the LDS Church. There are lots of Ted Bundy comments, but none about how he was Mormon. It's always distancing from thier core. I'm sure if Tenn just piled on this board about Ted Bundy being Mormon (most fans would be confused why this matters). Lots of financial and personal attacks from the average BYU fan. Oh you're LDS, but didn't get in BYU? is the first assumption... Oh a kid choose Utah... He must have grade or personal issues. Every fan base has jerks Utah inculded. People are lame, but I know BYU fans in the middle make it personal often. It can make the rivalry so lame.
