Both fan bases have decided to hate each other instead of just acknowledging we are talking about a

football game. It was fun when fans could give each other a hard time and everyone laughed. Now someone says something and the other side gets mad and runs to a message board to say how awful the other team’s fans are.

BYU has some absolutely embarrassing fans (especially on the Internet). Utah has some embarrassing fans. Unfortunately those are the fans who have changed the mood of the rivalry from one of good natured fun to hate.
