Looking at Utah's recent history, the last two times their teams was supposed to do special things, they delivered. 2004 they were projected to be amazing after only a couple of losses in 03. 2008 they also had a lot of returnees. They flew a little under the radar, but were supposed to be a strong contender for the MWC and bust the BCS again.

I predict they may lose 1-2 games, which likely would keep them outside of the playoff, but they are good enough to be in the discussion, and Whittingham will work them hard to make sure they don't fall.

I'm worried about how motivated they will be coming into the season. Reports are that they are have had a very grueling off-season to prepare for what lies ahead.
