Check their feed, check their messages, check their posts, check the comments on their posts. I would set clear expectations up front, including that anyone who says something inappropriate gets blocked. I would never recommend no accountability, it can turn into a very bad place for a teen with no accountability. Also be on the lookout for outbound or inbound bullying.
