If they are sick a few days in a row, wouldn't you have 24 hours notice for

every day after the first? If they are getting sick a few different times every month for a whole year, you have a different problem.

If you are late enough times to get close to the 20 times a year, leave 15 minutes earlier. It's really not that difficult.
