The miraculous Tennessee win will give us a fond moment to look back upon this season (similar to Michigan State or Miss State or Wisconsin or Arizona). A win in SEC country is always a great win even if the team we played isn't all that great. Their athletes and that atmosphere were definitely top notch even if the team wasn't.
However, I'm not sure if every G5 opponent we play wouldn't have been able to pull of a victory against the Vols (maybe not USU as they always choke against P5 teams). While all of these G5 games are winnable, none of them are a sure thing. The difference between getting 1 or 2 wins and failing to make or stumbling into a bowl game or getting 4 or 5 wins (including wins of USU & Boise) and finishing at 9 or even 10 wins is huge for the momentum and direction of the program. We've got to figure out how to win some of these games this year.
While last nights win was great there is still lots of room for improvement on both sides of the ball (only two offensive TD's in regulation in 2 games, giving up 6 yards per run through two games, only one turnover so far, etc).
Let's go Cougs!
