Examples of songs with lyrical dissonance...what have you got CB?
Some coworkers and I were discussing music, and some Simon and Garfunkle songs came up. We forgot the term where the music seems happy or upbeat, but the words are not so Google helped us out: it's lyrical dissonance. Anyway, a few Simon and Garfunkle songs are that way. Examples:
- Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard (just the Simon version)

Another example I came up with is this one by the Beautiful South--they don't get much darker than this one, and it's quite the contrast to the music:
