Confidence and esteem depleting by the second. There is definitely a time for that but that wasn’t one of them. Whereas Kalani is more of a buddy, Pruitt felt more like an enemy.
Ideally you have a happy medium (like Saban?) where players respect and even fear your rebuke. But they also know that when the rebuke comes, it’s well deserved and is carefully listened to because they don’t come often.
But if I could choose one or the other of the two extremes? I take Kalani’s approach everyday.
