He reacted from instinct, and his instincts were good - especially the zig zag out of the path of the safety who, without that cut, could have tackled him far away from the FG try.
To have the poise to catch the ball with the safety coming right at him, and not drop the ball while evading the safety, will be a move to be admired for a long time.
