On way to UTenn game sat next to a man who recommended Falls creek falls state
park. I had on some BYU gear and he was a BIG college football fan and he was VERY interested in talking football. Which is one of my favorite things about traveling to BYU away games. Anyways we told him we wanted to do some hiking friday and saturday and so he recommended don't going into Gatlinburg as it's a red neck disneyland but to try this place instead. So we did on Friday and it was really great. It alleges to be the biggest waterfall in terms of distance traveled in the US east of the Mississippi river.

We did end up going into the SMNP on saturday but we stayed away from Gatlinburg entrance but instead did the Cade Cove scenic loop and a 5 mile hike in that area. Saw a mother bear and 2 cubs. GREAT trip.
