Young quarterbacks typically have to make most (or all) their reads pre-snap. So disguising or changing it up really throws them off. If you go back and watch UCLA 2015, Bronco had D lineman standing up and wandering around and basically Rosen had no idea where any defender was going to be post snap. It was confusing him.
I would love to see this. Hard to do though if you don't trust your defenders. Moving Zayne back to safety though puts a lot of experience back there.
