I never understand when people say this. I lose weight purely through exercise
all the time. It’s the main way I’ve lost/controlled weight all my life. I’ve currently lost 15 pounds over the last few months and haven’t really changed my diet at all — I simply cranked up the exercise significantly.

Am I unusual in this respect? It is true that I’m not talking about just running a few miles a few times a week; it’s fairly intense/frequent exercise. But it definitely works for me. And it’s MUCH more enjoyable than dieting, plus you get all of the non-weight-related benefits of exercise too.
