Yes, but... We’re 35th in scoring defense.

And that’s including Utah’s TD off of the gift our offense fumbled to them deep in our end of the field. Hard to fully blame that one in the D. (Doesn’t include the two pic 6’s that had nothing to do with our D)

There are reasons that it’s not good to give up a lot of rushing yards, but none of those reasons are as important as giving up fewer points on defense.

The defense hasn’t been the problem. If they keep playing this well we can’t ask much more. 16.5 points per game against two of our harder teams.

Not really. The knee happened after the offense had already destroyed the defense’s hope of affecting the outcome.
