significant damage to single family property that I own. Basically needs to get completely rebuilt.
Property is under contract to be sold and will likely eventually be redeveloped by new owner (buyer working with County right now on permission to redevelop it into a different use).
Do I need to disclose this to the insurer?
So far I have not, but mostly because I just filed the claim and have not spoken to the adjuster yet.
It's in that gray area that makes me uncomfortable. Am I compelled to disclose that the property may be torn down in the future, even if they don't ask me directly?
Is future use something insurers look at?
Legally, what are my options/obligations here?
