I guess the one other possibility is this.

So this play it seems is basically our “we can always get 1 yard with this no matter what” play. For such a play you might want your DL instead of your OL because it’s not necessarily super technical or skillful blocking but simply being able to fire out low, hard and quick.

I think it’s weird especially in jumbo set short yard plays. Williams has the be better short yards guy or Usukpo(sp?)
