Whether or not this helps or hurts Utah
Depends entirely on how BYU finishes out. If the Cougs win enough to become ranked, then it helps Utah more...especially if USC struggles in conference play and with ND.
None of that matters though. SOS and strength of conference would only be relevant for Utah in a CFP scenario — but no one is really thinking that as a possibility.
In fact, I think USC will be very dangerous next week for Utah.
