I don't post often, as this is a rival board, so please excuse the intrusion.
That said, I wanted to visit and congratulate all of you on your team's gritty performances and their sheer determination to be victorious. I've read several posts on this board following this year's rivalary game and there appeared to be a consensus that there was a disparity in talent. I think the last two victories have dispelled that notion.
If for any reason that notion still exists amongst some of the fans, perhaps the following will provide rational for optimism. I do a fair amont of hiring in my job. I see all kinds of skill sets, but the one thing I look for above all others is work ethic, grit, determination. In the long term, these qualities, aka, skill sets, have proven to be successful.
So, even if there is some disparity (I think not given the last two victories), your team and coaching staff are maximizing future potential by focusing on the qualities/skill sets that BYU will never struggle to attract.
Congratulations again on your victories and my apologies for invading your board. Personally, I feel the development of skill sets and its impact on the direction of BYU football are very positive.
Good luck the rest of the season.
Go Utes....
