I was proved wrong this past Saturday, and I'm very happy to be wrong.
I don't know what the defensive philosophy is...but, coach Tui...it appears you know what you're doing and you shut the air raid from Southern Cal down. Amazing. After that first drive, my head was spinning...but after that....BYU settled in and players were playing with inspired effort, and making it extremely difficult for the game plan USC wanted to run. They had to change their gameplan due to our alignments and they fell into the trap. Great job!

Grimes...way to go. Great individual efforts from the players within the game plan to keep the chains moving. Nice mix up of some off beat reverses, QB draws, vertical passes, short passes, pitches, option....you really had USC on their heals not knowing what was coming next. Great job!

Sitake...it seems like the team is starting to get an identity, playing hard, effort within the schemes, supporting each other and rallying around each other and giving extra effort and enforcing BYU's will on the opponent. This is something that has been missing in previous years....things are starting to turn the corner. Keep up the good work.
