To be very frank, I honestly cannot remember a game that had that much energy and enthusiasm and solid plays on both sides of the ball over the full course of the game in the Kalani era. And it was far from mistake free. That to me is one of the positive things to come out of this - we -played well enough overall that we covered our mistakes to some degree. Many games it seems that if we are to beat a quality opponent we have to be completely error free.

BYU had almost 430 yards of total offense against USC. Their leading rusher averaged better than 5 yards per carry. They forced three turnovers. They gave up none. They didn't allow any returns on special teams of any substance at all and most were extremely well covered. They also proved again that they can play well and execute when needed in the fourth quarter and overtime.

This is the best I have felt about BYU football in many years.
