it was a coveted job and only went to football players. basically we stood against the wall across from the lunch line and if anyone butted in line we made them get out and go to the back of the line. For spending 10 minutes doing it you got a free lunch, granted school lunch in the early 1980's was only .85 cents but whatever. So with my lunch ticket and my lunch from working as a bouncer I'd get two lunches every day, as did the other guys that also had that "job".
So I guess i was child labor. Who knew? I didn't feel exploited.
