with last year's "promo" pricing (I can't remember). The best I could do last year was $70-ish.
I called up Comcast, threatened to cancel, and was sent to the "loyalty" department. The best they could do: $68, plus unwanted TV (TV adds broadcast fees and other taxes). I said I would think about it.
I called back an hour later and told them (truthfully) that I can get 100Mbps for $45 from Century Link (which I don't want). The new rep offered me 75Mbps for $49/month. Done! (the most painless Comcast billing call ever)
I don't like the yearly price negotiation, but I'm good for another year with Comcast internet. They have been rock-solid reliable.
I'll call again next year for another price negotiation.
