Actually, following recruiting makes his interception that much more gratifying.
The kid was a walk-on from Southern Utah whose dad balled out at BYU a while back. Almost transferred to UCLA but they offered him a scholarship and he stayed. Then he makes the first big defensive play of the day against #24 USC, which arguably set the tone of confidence leading to a victory.
