What was embarrassing about it?
Ty was underperforming. He wasn’t Sitake’s guy to begin with. A change had to me made, and it fell on Kalani as HC to make that change.
BYU fans need to know that Tom and a few big donors threw the kitchen sink at Ty to get him to come to BYU. I don’t think Ty’s heart was really in it to begin with - but it made financial sense to give it a shot. He was subpar in recruiting, player development, and lead the worse BYU offense in 60 years. It wasn’t all Ty’s fault - but letting him go was the right move and BYU fans need to stop holding Kalani hostage for making the hard decisions.
