this is all redundant. BYU had one job today. Don't embarrass themselves. That's it. They were coming off a huge win last week, ABC was back. Just play a football game. If you get beat you get beat. Crowd was there, student's were loud, field was great, uniforms great, Washington great, BYU? Didn't show up. First of all the penalties were a joke, flags all over the field, second the offense couldn't do one thing without shooting themselves in the foot. How does Washington return a fumble from their own 5-10 yard line? Nobody even close to him. A pick 6 sure. A ball on the ground? Do we not have one player that can react to that and make a play?

The defense? Don't even get me started. Huskies receivers were open all day in the flat, when I say open I'm talking by 5 yards. No white shirts. Holes and gaps 5 yards wide for their running backs. It was like watching Snow college try and stop Washington today. Peterson could have hung 80 on us if his life depended on it.

Look, that's a long day. The cheapest seat in the house is $45, 2 hour commute, tv timeouts, for the love just compete. The game looked like it was going to be over in the 2nd quarter, and BYU made a defensive stand on the fake field goal, the got the game withing striking distance on Oldroyd 54 yard FG, that could have been good from 70 yards. Then they just came out flat. Uninspired. Fumbles, allowing punt returns, defense looked like a melted stick of butter. I was so pissed off with 10 minutes left in the 3rd because Washington had 38 points. No team, let me repeat, NO TEAM should EVER come into LES and have 38 points with 10 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. That's what "embarrassing yourselves" looks like. Washington fans were looking at their phones checking earlier flight times at that point.

Anyway, yeah....what a major step backwards that was today. They had one job, compete. lose 28-14, whatever....just compete. With 10 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter we had quit. Many fans, and rightly so flooded out to the exits. I would have as well, if I hadn't just dropped $250 to be in there.
