BYU has only forced 1.5 punts per half through four games. BYU is losing time of possession. BYU is giving up a trillion yards per game...

It's because in the first four games they are playing teams that have better, faster players. And they are playing teams that have more good players than BYU has. That's right, ALL FOUR OF OUR OPPONENTS THUS FAR HAVE BETTER PLAYERS THAN BYU HAS. For every NFL guy BYU has, our first four opponents have three or four. They are playing teams with every conceivable advantage, and they are miraculously 2-2. You take it. And you thank the football gods for the gift. Its not like the P5 slate BYU just completed was Rutgers, Illinois, Oregon State and Northwestern. It was Utah (a very good D), Tennessee (about 40 4* and 5* dudes) USC (a ba-zillion NFL guys) and Washington (probably the best team west of the Big 10) - stop whining about stats. Those teams have better players.

In many ways, the second season - the non-gauntlet season starts next Saturday. That's when BYU starts to play opponents they are engineered to beat. If we still lag in time of possession, yards per play, punts per game, etc after the next four then we have something to complain about. There's a reason Vegas had BYU as the dog in all four of the first games. Think about it. Its freaking awesome BYU won two of those. Enjoy it.
