To somehow make us feel better. The sentiment in the OP bugs me. We tease Utah fans for coming to our board all the time, but after a loss why should we care what other boards of teams that beat us, think, say, or write???

We win that game yesterday and I guarantee CB’ers start popping off on how sweet it is to thump the liberals from the coast, how we should be in the PAC 12, how unfair the religious bias is, blah blah blah.

GET. OVER. IT. It’s a loss: To a better (and Ranked) team. Our team has fixable issues to overcome, film to watch, and Toledo to prepare for. Move on.

As for Washington fans. They are just fine. They know and love their football team, they travel well, and every single one of them I met yesterday were polite and respectful, and some remarked on the hospitality they’d received while in town. All of those things are what we pride ourselves on as a fan base. They want the Cal loss back. They are happy with how their young team is doing and they know they got a lucky break with Eason transferring from Georgia. Coach Petersen is running a good program. None of that stems from an ounce of religious bias.

Lastly, I am so proud of this team taking on 4 P5 teams - 3 of them ranked - to start the season, and coming away 2-2. This is a good team. There’s work to do, but I love this group of kids. I’m not sure there’s another program in America that fires through a similar gauntlet at the beginning of the season and walks away unscathed or undefeated. We’ve got this, let’s go!!
