They would never put players out on the field that didn’t know exactly what they were supposed to be doing. Sometimes it left fans wondering why the best talent wasn’t on the field, which could be frustrating. But the guys who did play executed their assignments and when the younger guys actually started playing, they had success because they knew what they were doing.
