The difference would be less lost battles against P5 schools for higher rated
LDS prospects. We often lose the majority of the top ten in-state prospects to other P5 schools. Other than that, I think you’re right about not much of a difference because of the HC and academic requirements (which to be fair also may be part of why we even lose some top in-state prospects but not all).
