Kalani Sitake does not call the defensive or offensive plays. If we're talking about someone's job it should be Ilisa Tuiaki's job. I am not a huge Jeff Grimes fan either but firing Grimes is probably not the best idea. I was on the bandwagon to fire Coach Mendenhall when his seat started getting hot. The expectations Byu fans have are ridiculous. Because Mendenhall was a dang good coach and the program was averaging above 500 every year. Hind site is 20/20 I admit that Byu should not have fired Bronco Mendenhall. Look how good his new team is doing. There are many problems with the entire program of Byu. Recruiting is a huge flaw. Seriously. White men can't jump. I'm tired of seeing all these white boy nobodies in the secondary. Can you think of anyone who has had much success in the byu secondary over the years??? Not many. Daniel Sorensen ,Chiefs, Micheal Davis, Chargers, Kai Nacua, Colts but hasn't played much. Think about Tuiaki's defensive scheme it's crap. Not to mention his unwillingness to adjust his defense to the game flow of different teams. Like when USC kept running the same stretch play over and over and gashing byu with the run. I think he was in the 3 4 defense and would not switch to 4 3. Also dropping 8 guys into coverage all the time might work against a freshman qb like Keenan Slovis but not Jacob Eason of Washington that's for sure. I feel like byu has to to that to cover up one of their biggest weaknesses the secondary. Its practically held together with duct tape. Dyan Gonwaloku is pretty good. I also like Troy Warner but he's been hurt all year. Jacob Eason literally had all day to throw. If Byu put pressure on Eason that game could have been more competitive. All though Washington was clearly a better team. If you eliminated some crucial mistakes by byu which you should know what they were that would have also helped. #FireTuiaki
