and he wasn’t exactly tearing it up this season, he’d been ok, and now he’ll have sat for several weeks with surgery to his throwing hand so I hardly share your optimism that he is some sort of difference maker.

And both SDSU and USU have shown much better than BYU this year.

I’ve had the interesting advantage of watching the team BYU plays several weeks this year the week previous to BYU playing them. The schedule has been set up so that UH played Washington the week before BYU played them, Boise st the week before BYU plays them, and I’ll actually be at the SDSU vs Hawaii game the week before BYU plays SDSU. So I’ve watched or will watch each of those teams entire games just a week previous and with great interest to detail.

I can tell you I knew exactly what was coming against Washington, what is coming this week against Boise, and I’ll be pretty sure what will be coming, good or bad, when BYU plays SDSU.

I’ll hold out judgement on SDSU until I’ve watched them play, but I can tell you BYU is absolutely not in any position to compete with Boise st this week, in fact I think it will get ugly and that will further demoralize them. Losing breads losing.
