I’m just saying that outside of temple building, I don’t see many areas where the church “spares no expense” — and where those expenses are actually borne in real dollars.
- I think we squeeze more utility out of our meetingshouses than most religious congregations nationwide.
- I think the church’s higher education system tends toward being lean and mean, which certainly extends opportunities to more students.
- I’m not sure how other faiths would work a full-time missionary program, but it’s a relative miracle that we can keep young adults safe and functional throughout the world for $5K a year.
