It depends on if it's easier to get noticed by a P5 program there.
It might be. Same with SDSU. Even USU, where coaching careers used to go to die, is now a place you can go and get a P5 job. Maybe Hill (who is young) is waiting for the USU job and will take over after Gary? Or maybe he thinks he can turn a school like Fresno, SDSU, CSU, etc. into a contender and get a P5 job. It's worked for others.
